Xaverian High School Reviews

I have only had great experiences with Xaverian, my son received a great well rounded education. The faculty, staff and the new administration has already proven that under their leadership the school will only get better through the upcoming years. Keep up the great work!!

xaverian is on a self destruct course with the present administrators the students would be better off in a public school

xaverian .has declined terribly since the new administration specifically the new director of guidance was appointed. The guidance department is pathetic with no supervision or regulation on the director's partl

My husband and son went to Xaverian and we are having a wonderful experience. To the reviewer who wants the school to be strict and control the kids...that was your responsibilty when raising your kids. Don't blame the school. Xaverian provides a wonderful academic atmosphere for those kids that want it.

Xaverian is great, it offers everything,You just need to have the student that will take advantage of all it offers, in my eyes, it is the Best HS ,my kids picked it over Xavier, and competitive public HS, faculty is dedicated, and You have a sense of familythat You won't find somewher else.

Very disapointing school they show the parents they are strict then when it comes down to the real thin gthey dont put there foot down they show no self control over the kids and the parents pay too much for too little

I think that Xaverian is a poor school based on the ability of its teachers to teach their students. As a graduate of the school, i hope tht someday the requirements for teaching and commmon sense ability is raised. I wouldn't recommend this school over Xavier or Molloy, but over the other catholic schools of Brooklyn-Queens area.

Xaverian is a school with aspirtations and achievments in its short history has surpass many institution. Xaverian offers a wide range of academic course from special need in the Ryken program to I.B. the most advance course work a student can take in the world. The music department under the direction of J.Loposoky and the dramatic arts under the direction of J.Appel has grown leaps and bounds each performing 2-3 times a years.

Although I believe the school maintains a good program overall, the boys only atmosphere is very stressful on a young man. The peer pressure is too much.

Xaverian high school is a good school if you want your child to feel protected. They are strict about tardiness, cutting, and abesences. They don't let the boys out of the building. Academically they are average. I have a problem, though, that they don't give enough homework. Also, many of the teachers are very young, possibly inexperienced. But the plus of young teachers is that they know how to handle adolescent boys. Xaverian has many activities and clubs, something for everyone. I haven't gotten involved in the PTA as of yet, but they do host a lot of events. Whenever I have had a problem with my son, it was very easy to get a teacher or guidance counselor.

Xaverian High School is a fine learning institution with a seperate academy for children with learning disabilities The staff at Xaverian HS teaches with heart and soul. The caring and attention that your child can receive here is priceless. Xaverian HS is graduating fine young men into the work force and into colleges all across the state.

College Prep School. Great Programs. Great Student Teacher Ratio. Expensive.

Did not like it. Too regimented and not enough involvement in child's needs and mental well being. Although my child did well he did not seem happy in there. Something was missing. Not enough activities to motivate social skills.

I graduated Xaverian in the class of 1976. I got a first-rate education in a Catholic Christian environment.

My son is a Senior and will graduate in 2004: I am proud of him and the way he is growing. I am sure that Xaverian H.S. is playing a great and very important role in his education and making him ready to approach the college in the best way possible.

I graduated from Xaverian in 2002. Xaverian was the greatest time in my life. I will never forget the memories.

Actually, I am an alumnus; class of 1979. Xaverian was a great time in my life and I will always remember it. The Truth Shall Set You Free !
